🌾 Our Story
In 2004 Bauman’s Fiber Farm began as a seed of an idea—rooted in love for animals, a respect for the land, and a desire to live closer to the rhythms of nature. Over the years, that seed has grown into a thriving homestead in the rolling hills of Ohio, where every sunrise is greeted by bleats, neighs, and birdsong.
We raise Valais Blacknose sheep, yaks, angora rabbits, pasture/show pigs, laying hens, horses and other random farm animals, each one an essential thread in the tapestry of this place. It’s not just about wool or food—it’s about harmony and husbandry, about tending to what matters most.
What feeds our animals feeds our philosophy.
We grow our own hay and grain, ensuring our livestock are nourished with homegrown goodness. Our pastures aren't just where our flocks graze—they're where our values take root: sustainability, responsibility, and deep respect for life.
Every fleece sheared, every pork share packaged, every egg gathered with care—it all tells the same story. A story of soil under fingernails, of twilight barn checks, of raising with intention and harvesting with heart.
This is Bauman’s Fiber Farm. It’s home. And it’s our joy to share a piece of it with you.
